Welcome to Our Blog!

Welcome to our awesome UAAAL blog! Just So You Know... for the past eleven weeks we have been learning all about what it takes to create a successful blog. From how to choose a good story, to bringing our writing to life with photos and videos, to designing the background, and then publishing it all to the web. We have worked hard and hope that you enjoy the final result.

Chillin' With Patel

I interviewed Mr. Patel because he inspires me as a student to do my best in school.

I really like my blog video because students got to learn more about Mr. Patel, other than him working at Citizen Schools, like what college he went to and what he does other than Citizen Schools.

My blog is also creative because whoever was doing an interview, they were doing it on a regular teacher, however, I went above and did one on a Citizen Schools staff member.

I learned a lot about Mr. Patel during my interview with him and now I look at him from another point of view. Now, I see him as a respectful, nice teacher that cares about students and helps them when they need it.

Popular Stars at UAAAL

Being popular is like a dream come true. You can't just come to school looking like a bum. You got to have and style.

It's the people you hang around that make you popular. You can't hang around geeks because that's not going to make you popular. You have to hang around popular people. And the way you act is what makes you popular.

To find out who is the most popular student in each grade at our school, I interviewed people.

The most popular students in each grade are:

6th Grade: Morgan, Alyssa, Ellean
7th Grade: Leah, Jasmin
8th Grade: Hakeem, Najeeh, Isaih and Jared

So these are the people who are the most popular stars lol :0 !!!

One-To-One With Ms. Uribe

I , Lathan, got down and dirty to get the scoop on my science teacher. Her name is Ms. Uribe. She is unique, and the sweetest person you would ever meet. She is a fun person and loves children. This might sound like a dating video or something, but it is not. This is an interview with the coolest and funniest person, my favorite teacher Ms. Uribe. If you watch my interview you will see her and understand what I mean. You will be amazed.

Yo-Yo, It's Cool

Yo-yos is not just a toy, it's a sport. Some people think that there are only two tricks to yo-yoing, but there's much more than that. Yo-yo-ing has come a long way from a toy to a cool hobby and also to yo-yo competitions. I have not entered in one, but it is fun to play with.

All the types of yo-yo trick amaze me and I hope I will be cool for you. All the types of tricks are cool but my favorites is revolutions, Buddha's Revenge, Plastic Whip, The Matrix, and my all-time favorite, The Yuuki slack.

In the videos below, you'll see me doing different tricks, but they're all basic for you to learn. And in the other video, you'll see my friend Eric doing tricks that he first learned.

My friends and I practice during lunch and all the little time we have. The way we learn all of our tricks is by looking at a website called yoyoexpert.com.

The Detective Codes

I made this video because I'm a person interested in codes and I know some other people are. When I made this video, I made it for people who might want to learn about many different codes so people won't have to get made fun of if they say something embarrassing and people won't start rumors.

Some people want to learn about codes so they can talk to their friends and without their parents knowing what they're saying.

And that's what this video is mostly about so people can never have to have anything known and they'd never get caught. This video also talks about one secret language that is not known any more called Pig Latin.

So if you watch my video, you can learn about the different cods and soon I will be blogging pictures of the codes for people to learn and maybe even print out.
